The month of November is a month of memories, a month of remembrance, a month of prayer. A significant moment in the life of our parish is the Annual Mass for Deceased Parishioners.
Mass in remembrance of the deceased members of our family, relatives, friends and parishioners. May the choirs of angels come to receive them.
Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them.
May they rest in peace. Amen.
Each year as a parish we can gather to remember and celebrate the lives of our deceased relatives and friends, and in remembering them in prayer and lighting a candle for them, we continue to show our love for them

The month of November is a month of memories, a month of remembrance, a month of prayer. A significant moment in the life of our parish is the Annual Mass for Deceased Parishioners, which is held on the first Friday in November. At this Mass, we invited parishioners to dedicate a candle in memory of their deceased parishioners and friends.
During the Liturgy, we read out the names of those members of our parish who have died in the past 12 months and, if they are present, we invited members of their family to come forward and light a candle on the Altar.
This year besides the names of the 17 members of our parish family who had died and whose funerals were celebrated this past year, two additional candles were lit, to remember two of the Salesian Sisters who had connections with the parish for many years and who had died since we celebrated this Mass in 2020, Sister Winfred Acred FMA, who was Headmistress of the Sacred Heart Infants school for over 27 years, and Sister Bruna Liverei FMA, who was a much loved member of the sisters community and was involved in many years of parish life.
Each year as a parish we can gather to remember and celebrate the lives of our deceased relatives and friends, and in remembering them in prayer and lighting a candle for them, we continue to show our love for them. November the month of All souls when we remember those Saints of our parish family who have gone before us, marked with the sign of faith.
