The RCIA, which stands for Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, is a process through which non-baptized men and women enter the Catholic Church. It includes several stages marked by study, prayer and rites at Mass. Participants in the RCIA are known as catechumens.

2022 Rite of Election and Call to Continuing Conversion

Saturday 5 March 2022 at St George’s Cathedral, Lambeth Road, Southwark, SE1 6HR

Planning has begun, for the Rite of Election and Call to Continuing Conversion, which will take place at St George’s Cathedral, Southwark, on Saturday 5 March 2022 at 12.30pm.

We recommend, to every parish, that you begin the process of verifying baptismal status, ascertaining who is a Catechumen and who is a Candidate, and obtaining the names of godparents/sponsors, before Christmas. Our first mail out, with all the required forms, will be sent to you at the beginning of January.

This event has a group. You’re welcome to join the group once you register for the event.
